Mayor Lipani delivered a speech that focused on empowerment and shared examples and impact of the great female leaders in our society.
Deputy Mayor Britting presented walking through crowd, connected with some of the children he coaches in recreational sports and spoke about the importance and dynamics between leadership and service. Both were extremely happy to spend time at the event as the Hillsborough Girl Scouts had a wonderful year and accomplished a great deal! Fun fact: The Hillsborough Girl Scouts sold over 43,000 cookies this last year!!! That's as many people we have living in Hillsborough! 5/31/2023 Committeeman Jim RUH hosts the Annual Shaun O'Hara Foundation Golf Outing to fight cystic fibrosisCommitteeman Jim RUH loves to help people. He works closely with NFL Champion Shaun O'Hara on his quest to fight against cystic fibrosis. Committeeman RUH has been a champion for this group for many years and will continue to do so. Deputy Mayor Britting walked with his sons and the Hillsborough Baseball and Softball League, then caught up with the Vivek Rao and the Boro Marharaja Club. Committeeman and Former Mayor and Deputy Mayor Doug Tomson stands the for his final time, before he honorably retires from the Township Committee at the end of this year, at the wreaths of honor. Committeeman Ciccarelli and Committeeman Ruh stand during the presentations by the Township. Mayor Lipani and Committeeman Ciccarelli walked and presided in the Neshanic Memorial Day parade on Monday!
Originally called Decoration Day, the Memorial Day Holiday celebration honors all soldiers who died during service to the nation. Memorial Day was declared a national holiday through an act of Congress in 1971, and its roots date back to the Civil War era, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs. We place the sacrifices of our veterans in the highest regard in our town.
